INSTALL WATER DRAIN COCK SUB-ASSEMBLY 

a

Apply seal packing to 2 or 3 threads of the drain cock  

Seal packing: Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1344, Three Bond 1344 or equivalent

Install the drain cock to the cylinder block LH side  

Torque: 30 N*m (306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf)

Further tighten the drain cock within 360° so that the drain cock pipe is within the range shown in 
the illustration

INSTALL FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR RH 

a

Install the mounting insulator with the nut  

Torque: 72 N*m (734 kgf*cm, 53 ft.*lbf)

INSTALL ENGINE ASSEMBLY 

a

Install the engine assembly to the vehicle (see INSTALLATION )   

REAR ENGINE MOUNTING 

COMPONENTS 

NOTE:



Do not rotate the drain cock more than 1 revolution (360°) after 
tightening the drain cock to the specified torque.  



Do not loosen the drain cock to adjust it. If an adjustment is 
necessary, remove the drain cock and reinstall it.

SUPPORT AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY

Support the transmission with a transmission jack  Lift the transmission slightly from the 
crossmember

Remove the 4 rear engine mounting insulator bolts

Remove the 4 nuts, 4 washers, 4 bolts and crossmember
