DTC DETECTION LOGIC

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1.

PRECONDITIONING

1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

2. Turn ignition switch ON.

3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

TESTING CONDITION:

Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is 11 V or more with ignition

switch ON.

>> GO TO 2.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE-I

1. Turn ignition switch ON (engine stopped) and wait at least 10 seconds.

CAUTION:

Never start engine during this procedure.

2. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

3. Turn ignition switch ON.

4. Check 1st trip DTC.
Is 1st trip DTC detected?

YES

>> Proceed to 

EC-361, "Diagnosis Procedure"

.

NO

>> GO TO 3.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE-II

1. Start engine.

2. Rev up the engine quickly to approximately 3,000 rpm under unloaded condition and completely release

the accelerator pedal.

3. Let the engine idle and wait at least 10 seconds.

4. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

5. Turn ignition switch ON.

6. Check 1st trip DTC.
Is 1st trip DTC detected?

YES

>> Proceed to 

EC-361, "Diagnosis Procedure"

.

NO

>> INSPECTION END

Diagnosis Procedure

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1. Turn ignition switch ON.

2. Erase DTC.

3. Perform DTC confirmation procedure for 3 times. Refer to 

EC-361, "DTC Logic"

.

Is the 1st trip DTC P0606 displayed again?

YES

>> Replace ECM.

NO

>> INSPECTION END

YES

NO

>> INSPECTION END

1. Start engine and wait at least 10 seconds.

2. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

3. Repeat step 1 and 2 for 5 times.

4. Turn ignition switch ON.

5. Check 1st trip DTC.
Is 1st trip DTC detected?

YES

>> Proceed to 

EC-363, "Diagnosis Procedure"

NO

>> INSPECTION END
