P1572 ASCD BRAKE SWITCH EC-271 < DTC/CIRCUIT DIAGNOSIS > [HR16DE] C D E F G H I J K L M A EC N P O 3. Check the voltage between stop lamp switch harness connector and ground. Is the inspection result normal? YES >> GO TO 9. NO >> GO TO 8. 8. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING PART Check the following. • 10 A fuse (No. 30) • Harness for open or short between stop lamp switch and battery >> Repair open circuit, short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors. 9. CHECK STOP LAMP SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN AND SHORT 1. Disconnect ECM harness connector. 2. Check the continuity between stop lamp switch harness connector and ECM harness connector. 3. Also check harness for short to ground and short to power. YES >> GO TO 10. NO >> Repair open circuit, short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors. 10. CHECK STOP LAMP SWITCH EC-272, "Component Inspection (Stop Lamp Switch)" . Is the inspection result normal? YES >> GO TO 11. NO >> Replace stop lamp switch. Refer to . 11. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT GI-41, "Intermittent Incident" . >> INSPECTION END Component Inspection (Brake Pedal Position Switch) INFOID:0000000009418255 1. CHECK BRAKE PEDAL POSITION SWITCH-I 1. Turn ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect brake pedal position switch harness connector. 3. Check the continuity between brake pedal position switch terminals under the following conditions. Is the inspection result normal? YES >> INSPECTION END NO >> GO TO 2.
