Disconnect connectors ”C” from meter.
Inspect connector on wire harness side as follows.

HINT : While carrying out the following inspection, make certain that the connectors and terminals are properly con-
nected.

Ground terminal B7 and turn the light control
switch to TAIL. Does taillight indicator light up?

Is bulb OK?

Replace circuit plate.

No

Abnormal operation or indicator
does not light up.

TAILLIGHT INDICATOR

Turn the light control switch to TAIL.
Does taillight light up?

Inspect headlight and taillight system.

Wire harness faulty between meter and:

 Light control switch.

 Taillight Relay, Panel Relay (CANADA)

Is there battery positive voltage (0 V 

↔

 battery

positive voltage) between following terminals with

light control switch TAIL?

 C5 and ground.

Connect connectors ”B” to meter.

Disconnect connector ”B” from meter.

Inspect connector on combination meter side as

follows.

 Open circuit in wire harness between terminal

   B7 of meter and ground.

 Ground faulty.

Temporarily install another circuit plate.
Is operation normal?

Replace bulb.
Then recheck system.

Replace combination
meter computer.
Then recheck system.
