Is bulb OK?

Disconnect connector ”D” from meter.
Inspect connector on wire harness side as follows.

HINT : While carrying out the following inspection, make certain that the connectors and terminals are properly con-
nected.

Replace fuse. Then recheck system.

No

Yes

Replace bulb.

Then recheck system.

Is there battery positive voltage between terminal
and ground?

Replace circuit plate.

Replace combination

meter computer.

Then recheck system.

Temporarily install another circuit plate.
Is operation normal?

Open circuit in wire harness between ECU–B fuse
and meter.

Is ECU–B fuse normal?

 Wire harness faulty between center airbag 

sensor assembly and meter.

 Center airbag sensor assembly faulty.

Inspect connector on meter side as follows.

Is there continuity between terminals D8 and D9 of
meter?

Is there battery positive voltage between terminal
and ground?

Replace circuit plate.

Replace combination

Is operation normal?

Open circuit in wire harness between IGN fuse
and meter.

Is IGN fuse normal?

Wire harness faulty between generator and meter.

Disconnect connector from generator.
Does warning light light up?

Inspect generator.

Replace bulb.

Then recheck system.

Turn light control switch to HEAD and headlight dimmer

switch to HI.

Is there battery positive voltage between terminal C5

and ground?

Replace circuit plate.

Replace combination

meter computer.

Then recheck system.

Temporarily install another circuit plate.
Is operation normal?

meter and ABS & TRAC ECU, or inspect ABS &
TRAC ECU.

Replace the bulb. Then recheck system.

Replace power source unit.
