Removal and Installation

Removal

1. 

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle

stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.

Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable.

Refer to: 

Specifications

 (414-00 Battery and Charging System -

General Information, Specifications).

Remove the timing belt.

Refer to: 

Timing Belt

and Installation).

4. NOTE: Make sure that the component is installed to
the position noted on removal.

Installation

1. 

CAUTION: Extreme cleanliness must be

exercised when handling these components.

2. CAUTIONS:

 Make sure that the component is clean, free of foreign

material and lubricant.

 Make sure that these components are installed to the noted

removal position.

Install the crankshaft key and sprocket.

Install the new timing belt.

Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover.

Removal

Disconnect the battery ground cable.
