Removal  

Vehicles with 3.5L or 4.2L engine without supercharger  

 

1 . Remove the oil filler cap.  

 

 

 

2 . Remove the engine cover.  

 

 

Vehicles with supercharger  

 

3 . Remove the engine cover.  

 

 

All vehicles  

 

4 . Remove the cowl vent screen. <<501-02>>

NOTE:  

 

 

Vehicles with supercharger shown, vehicles with 3.5L or 4.2L engine without 

supercharger similar. 

 

 

NOTE:  

 

 

Left-hand shown, right-hand similar. 

 

Remove the engine compartment supports.  

 

 

Vehicles with supercharger  

 

6 . Loosen the throttle body intake pipe retaining clip. 

 

 

 

7 . Detach the air filter outlet pipe

8 . Remove the throttle body intake pipe.  

  

1) Detach the throttle body intake pipe.

 

  

2) Remove the throttle body intake pipe.

 

 

 

 

All vehicles  

 

9 . NOTE:  

 

 

Right-hand drive vehicles shown, left-hand drive vehicles similar. 

 

Remove the engine compartment outer panel insulation.  

 

 

Right-hand drive vehicles  

 

10 . Remove the engine compartment outer panel. 

 

 

Left-hand drive vehicles  

 

11 . Remove the engine compartment outer access panel. 

 

 

All vehicles  

 

12 . NOTE:  

 

 

Right-hand drive vehicles shown, left-hand drive vehicles similar. 

 

Remove the cabin air filter.  

  

1) Detach the cabin air filter.

 

  

2) Remove the cabin air filter.
