5 . NOTE:  

 

 

Cap the coolant hoses to minimize coolant loss. 

 

Detach the coolant hoses from the throttle body.  

 

 

 

6 . Remove the throttle body.  

 

 

 

7 . Remove and discard the O-ring seal.  

 

 

 

Installation  

 

1 

. 

 

  CAUTION: Do not attempt to clean the throttle body. The bore and the throttle 

plate has a special coating applied during manufacture which should not be removed. 

 

 

To install, reverse the removal procedure.  

  

 

Install a new O-ring seal.

 

 

 

 

 

2 . Tighten to 10 Nm.  

 

 

 

3 . Check and top up the cooling system as required.

  WARNING: When relieving cooling system pressure, cover the expansion tank cap 

with a thick cloth to prevent the possibility of scalding. Failure to follow these instructions 

may result in personal injury. 

 

 

Remove the expansion tank cap to relieve the cooling system pressure.

. 

 

  CAUTION: Do not attempt to clean the throttle body. The bore and the throttle 

plate has a special coating applied during manufacture which should not be removed. 

 

 

Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.

3 . Disconnect the throttle body electrical connector. 

 

 

 

4 . NOTE:  

 

 

Clamp the coolant hose to minimize coolant loss. 

 

Disconnect the coolant hose.  

 

 

 

5 . NOTE:  

 

 

Clamp the coolant hose to minimize coolant loss. 

 

Disconnect the coolant hose.  

 

 

 

6 . Remove the throttle body.  

 

 

 

7 . Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
