See Special Tools and Equipment . z Urethane Adhesive Kit GM P/N 12346392 or Equivalent z Isopropyl Alcohol or Equivalent z Cartridge-type Caulking Gun z Commercial-type Utility Knife z Razor Blade Scraper z Suction Cups z Plastic Paddle Removal Procedure 1. Open the hood. 2. Remove the window wiper arms. Refer to Wiper Arm Replacement in Wipers/Washer Systems. 3. Remove the window side reveal moldings from the vehicle. Refer to Windshield Side Reveal Molding Replacement . 4. Remove the cowl air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement - Non Functional in Exterior Trim. 5. Cover to protect the following parts from broken glass: z The upper dash pad z The defroster outlets and A/C outlets z The seats and carpeting 6. Remove the rear view mirror. Refer to Rearview Mirror Replacement . IMPORTANT: Before cutting out a stationary window, apply a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces and the interior trim. CAUTION: If broken glass falls into the defroster outlets, it can be blown into the passenger compartment and cause personal injury.
