Circuit Description The manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor responds to pressure changes in the intake manifold. The z 5-volt reference circuit z Low reference circuit z MAP sensor signal circuit The powertrain control module (PCM) supplies 5 volts to the MAP sensor on the 5-volt reference circuit. The The PCM calculates a predicted value for the MAP sensor based on the throttle position (TP) and the engine Conditions for Running the DTC z DTCs P0068, P0101, P0102, P0103, P0107, P0108, P0120, P0220, P0442, P0443, P0446, P0455, P1125, z The engine is running. z The engine speed is between 400-5,000 RPM. z Any change in the engine speed is less than 125 RPM. z The traction control, if equipped, is not active. z The power take-off (PTO), if equipped, is not active. z The A/C compressor clutch state does not change. z The clutch switch state does not change, if equipped with a manual transmission. z The power steering load is stable. z The brake switch state does not change. z The above conditions are met for 1 second. Conditions for Setting the DTC The PCM detects that the actual MAP sensor signal is not within the predicted range for 2 seconds. Action Taken When the DTC Sets z The control module illuminates the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) on the second consecutive ignition
