1. Refer to:

Precautions

 (100-00 General Information, 

Description and Operation). 

2. Remove the polyurethane (PU) adhesive cap and 

heat the PU adhesive for a minimum of 30 
minutes. 

General Equipment:

3. Remove the rear window wiper motor. 

Refer to:

CAUTION: If the original window glass is 

to be installed, take care not to damage the 
electrical connectors and the weatherstrip. 
NOTE: This step requires the aid of another 
technician. 

From outside the vehicle, cut the PU 
adhesive.

NOTE: Note the position of each component 
before removal.

CAUTION: If the original window glass is 

to be installed, take care not to damage the 
electrical connectors and the weatherstrip. 
NOTE: This step requires the aid of another 
technician. 

1. From outside the vehicle, cut the PU 

adhesive. 
Cut the PU adhesive securing the liftgate 
handle to the liftgate window glass.

2. From inside the vehicle, cut the PU 

adhesive to a maximum depth of 25 mm.
