15. Remove the transmission control lever from the

transmission cross shaft.

16. Remove the converter housing to cylinder block

bolts.

17. Hold the converter firmly against the transmission,

move the transmission rearward and lower.

Secure the converter to the transmission and

remove the assembly from under the vehicle.

This procedure ensures that the line pressure

is regulated to correspond with a green/new

transmission.
