Symptom: PASSENGER WINDOW HALL EFFECT FAILURE When Monitored and Set Condition: PASSENGER WINDOW HALL EFFECT FAILURE When Monitored: Whenever the passenger window is operating. Set Condition: The hall effect sensor in the window motor sends an alternating signal (open/closed) to the BCM whenever the motor is running. When there is no hall effect POSSIBLE CAUSES DTC PRESENT HALL EFFECT SWITCH OPEN PASSENGER WINDOW HALL SIGNAL WIRE OPEN PASSENGER WINDOW MOTOR OPEN WINDOW HALL EFFECT GROUND OPEN PASSENGER WINDOW UP RELAY GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN PASSENGER WINDOW DOWN RELAY OUTPUT WIRE OPEN PASSENGER WINDOW DOWN RELAY GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN PASSENGER WINDOW UP RELAY OUTPUT WIRE OPEN PASSENGER WINDOW DOWN RELAY OPEN PASSENGER WINDOW UP RELAY OPEN BODY CONTROL MODULE - PASSENGER WINDOW HALL EFFECT OPEN TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY 1 NOTE: If there are any other Passenger Power Window DTC’s present, t, erase DTCs. Cycle the ignition switch from Off to Run. t, read DTCs. Does the DRBIII t display PASSENGER WINDOW HALL EFFECT FAILURE?
