PASSENGER OFF INDICATOR CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND (CONTINUED) For the Air Bag System circuit diagram (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/RESTRAINTS - SCHEMATICS AND DIA- For a complete wiring diagram Refer to Section 8W. • When Monitored: • Set Condition: Possible Causes ACTIVE ACM RUN - START CODES ORC IMPROPERLY CONFIGURED FOR PAB ON - OFF SWITCH PAB ON - OFF SWITCH DISCONNECTED (F201) FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT (RUN-START) CIRCUIT OPEN (G104) PAB INDICATOR DRIVER CIRCUIT OPEN (G104) PAB INDICATOR DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND PAB ON - OFF INDICATOR OPEN ORC, PAB ON - OFF INDICATOR CIRCUIT OPEN ORC, PAB ON - OFF INDICATOR CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND Diagnostic Test 1. DETERMINE ACTIVE OR STORED DTC Turn the ignition on. NOTE: Ensure that the battery is fully charged. NOTE: For the purpose of this test, the AECM and ORC modules will be referred to as an ORC. NOTE: When reconnecting Airbag system components, the ignition must be turned off and the battery must SELECT ACTIVE or STORED DTC: ORC - ACTIVE DTC Go To 2 ORC - STORED DTC Go To 10 2. ACTIVE ORC RUN - START CODES With the Scan Tool, read active Occupant Restraint Controller DTC’s. Does the Scan Tool display: LOSS OF IGNITION RUN - START? Yes >> Diagnose and repair the DTC.
