25. Remove shift detent (1) assembly.

26. Drive roll pin down into front offset lever (3) until

loose.

27. Remove reverse lockout solenoid

28. Separate offset lever and guide plate to remove

the roll pin that was driven down in Step 26of this
procedure.

29. Remove two torx screws (2) located on the top of

the transmission case (1).

30. Remove clutch slave cylinder from transmission.

31. Remove all front adapter plate (2) bolts (3) except

one to hold the front adapter in place.

32. Stand transmission on Fixture 9387 and bolt

adapter to fixture.

33. Install on bench Fixture 9385.

34. Remove remaining adapter bolt and pry transmis-

sion case (1) upward. Remove offset lever from
shift rail and case from adapter plate (2).

35. Remove reverse rail (2) assembly.

36. Tilt countershaft (4) sideways and lift mainshaft

(1) and shift rail a (2) assemblies out of adapter
plate (3).

37. Remove countershaft (1) assembly.

38. Remove input shaft (2) from adapter (3).
