IDLE AIR CONTROL MOTOR REMOVAL (1) Disconnect negative cable from battery. trol motor. (3) Remove idle air control motor mounting screws (Fig. 5). (4) Remove idle air control motor from throttle body. Ensure the O-ring is removed with the motor. INSTALLATION (1) New idle air control motors have a new O-ring installed on it. If pintle measures more than 1 inch (2) Carefully place idle air control motor into throttle body. (3) Install mounting screws. Tighten screws to 2 N Im (17 in. lbs.) torque. (4) Connect electrical connector to idle air control motor. (5) Connect negative cable to battery. FUEL INJECTOR RAIL ASSEMBLY REMOVAL (1) Perform fuel system pressure release procedure before servicing or starting repairs. Refer to Fuel (2) Disconnect negative cable from battery.
