D–PILLAR TRIM PANEL (WAGON)

Removal Procedure

1.  Open the tailgate.
2.  Remove the D–pillar trim panel.

Installation Procedure

1.  Install the D–pillar trim panel.
2.  Close the tailgate.

Tools Required

KM–475–B Trim Remover

Removal Procedure

1.  Remove the rear seatback. Refer to Section 9H,

Seats.

2.  Remove the luggage compartment rear quarter trim

panel.

3.  Using the trim remover KM–475–B, remove the

plastic retaining clips and the wheelhouse trim pan-
el.

Installation Procedure

1.  Install the wheelhouse trim panel with the plastic

retaining clips.

2.  Install the luggage compartment rear quarter trim

panel.

3.  Install the rear seatback. Refer to Section 9H,

Seats.

LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT
WHEELHOUSE TRIM PANEL
(WAGON)

Removal Procedure

1.  Remove the C–pillar trim panel. Refer to”C–Pillar

Trim Panel”  in this section.

2.  Remove the D–pillar trim panel. Refer to”D–Pillar

Trim Panel” in this section.

3.  Remove the screws, the clips, and the luggage

compartment wheelhouse trim panel.

4.  Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation Procedure

1.  Connect the electrical connector.

Notice :  Dissimilar metals in direct contact with each other
may corrode rapidly. Make sure to use the correct fasten-
ers to prevent premature corrosion.

2.  Install the wheelhouse trim panel with the screws

and the clips.

Tighten

Tighten the trim panel screws to 2 N

S

m (18 lb–in).

3.  Install the D–pillar trim panel. Refer to”D–Pillar Trim

Panel” in this section.

4.  Install the C–pillar trim panel. Refer to”C–Pillar Trim

Panel” in this section.

Tools Required

KM–475–B Trim Remover

Removal Procedure

1.  Using the trim remover KM–475–B, remove the

plastic retaining clips and the rear quarter trim pan-
el.

Installation Procedure

1.  Install the rear quarter trim panel with the plastic

retaining clips.

Removal Procedure

1.  Using the trim remover KM–475–B, remove the

plastic retaining clips and the luggage compartment
rear trim panel.

Installation Procedure

1.  Install the luggage compartment rear trim panel

with the plastic retaining clips.

DRIVER KNEE BOLSTER

Removal Procedure

1.  Remove the plastic knee bolster trim panel.
2.  Remove the bolts and the left side instrument panel

trim.

3.  Remove the nut, the bolts, and the driver knee bol-

ster.
