Locking the c o-driver ’s s ide door with key/button. The operation is a s described above, except that unit D 905 will now measure a n earth signal at pin 1 2 (wire 5062), and it will connect pin 1 5 (wire 4538) of component B199 to earth. T he door on the d river ’s s ide w ill now also lock and the a larm will be set. Locking co -d river ’s s ide door using s witch C774. When switch C774 is operated (pin 3 connected to p in 7), a n earth signal is created at pin 3 (wire 51 18) of unit D 905. D905 now connects pin 1 2 (wire 5062) to earth, s o that B200 is activated and the c o-driver ’ss id e door is locked. Locking the doors o n the driver ’sa n d co -d river ’s s ides using the remote control unit. When the door locking button o n the remote control unit is p ressed, the remote c ontrol unit will send a fixed-code signal to the CDS-3 unit (D905). W hen the CDS-3 unit (D905) recognises the remote control unit o n the basis of the fixed code, the remote c ontrol unit will send coded messages to the C DS-3 unit (D905). T hese m essages are c oded with a rolling c ode. This rolling c ode will change every time the remote control is operated. After the CDS-3 unit (D905) has accepted the messages, it w ill send a s ignal to the V IC unit (D900) and, if the v ehicle has an alarm system, it w ill also send a s ignal to the a larm unit (D91 1 ). As a result, the CDS-3 unit (D905) will connect p ins 1 2 (wire 5062) and 15 (wire 4538) to earth. This will activate the m otors (B199 and B200). The CDS-3 unit (D905) then checks the s tatus o f the outputs to the motors (B199 and B200). It u ses this information to determine whether the doors have been successfully locked. The CDS-3 unit (D905) will send a m essage to the V IC unit (D900) via p in 2 (wire 3647) to inform it that the doors have s uccessfully locked. As a result, the VIC unit (D900) will switch of f the interior lighting. If the doors have not locked properly a fter three attempts, a message will be sent to the V IC unit (D900), to inform it that the doors have not locked s uccessfully; the interior lighting remains on. If the v ehicle has an alarm system, a signal is also sent from the CDS-3 unit (D905) pin 2 (wire 3647) to the a larm unit (D91 1 ). This switches the a larm on. INITIALISA TION When the CDS-3 unit is s upplied w ith power for the first time (on installing o r replacing the electronic unit), o r if new hand-held transmitters are u sed (max. 8), the CDS – 3 unit m ust b e able to recognise these transmitters. F ollow the procedure below to enable the CDS-3 unit to c ommunicate with hand-held transmitters. When installing o r replacing CDS -3 electronic unit. Step 1: Lock the co-driver ’s s ide door using the switch (C774) on the c entral console. After 2 to m ax.10 s econds, unlock the co-driver ’s s ide door using the switch (C774). After 2 to m ax.10 s econds, lock the co-driver ’s s ide door using the switch (C774). The CDS-3 electronic unit is now aware that the hand-held transmitters are being initialised and it will send a s ignal to the V IC. The V IC will activate the d irection indicators and make them flash once. Step 2: Press the ”locking ” button o n the hand-held transmitter ("A ), and keep it pressed. Inside the c ab, press ”lock co-driver ’s door ”. ROOF HA TCH (SH CAB) OPENING R OOF HA TCH When the roof hatch switch (C736) is operated and a c onnection is made between contacts 2 and 6 and therefore between contacts 1 and 3, a v oltage is applied to p in 1 of the roof hatch motor (B175) through fuse E045, switch C736 and wire 4761. The roof hatch will open. 0202 ᓻ 2-152 5 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Electrical system series 65/75/85 CF |
