Section Four. Data Analysis and Test 

 
 
Test conditions: the engine has been warmed up and is operated under the closed-loop 
control mode. Park the vehicle on the roadside and idle run the engine with no load. Shut 
off all power equipment: including A/C, ventilating fan and lights, etc.

Two. Engine data analysis 
The analysis of engine data is done by the diagnostic instrument.  
1. Regular checking 
All wire harness fittings are reliably fastened in place; 
Fuel circuit and vacuum pipeline are reliably fastened; 
Screw on the bolts of the oxygen sensor and three-way catalyst to ensure the sealing of 
the fittings; check the exhaust system at 1.3 atmospheric pressure if necessary, which 
shall show no apparent leakage. 
2. System initialization setup 

 Engine management system initialization: turn on the ignition switch and shut off 3 

seconds later. The initialization setup will be completed in 10 seconds.  

 Fuel supply system initialization: turn on the ignition switch and shut off 3 seconds 

later. Restart 1 second later. Repeat for five times and the fuel supply system 
initialization setup will be completed.  

3. System and vehicle status checking 
1) Step 1: cool down the vehicle, turn on the key switch and do not run the engine (about 
30s).
