(4) The camshaft sprocket wheel mark 
shall be aligned with the cylinder cover 
surface (Figure 11). 
(5) Observe the timing mark on the 
camshaft timing sprocket wheel (Figure 
12).  
(6) Fix the valve chamber cover.

Three. Timing chain cover 
1. Unfixing 
(1) Detach the storage battery cathode 
fittings. 
(2) Unscrew the bolts of the power 
steering oil tank bracket. 
(3) Drain the cooling water and unfix the 
upper water tank hose 
(4) Unfix the cooling fan 
(5) Jack up the car. 
(6) Unfix the front right wheel 
(7) Unfix the driving belt guard board. 
(8) Unfix the driving belt.

(10) Unfix the driving belt tensioner. 
(11) Unfix the driving belt middle wheel.  
(12) Unfix the holddown bolts of the air 
compressor.  
(13) Unscrew the bolts of the power 
steering pump/water pump bracket.  
(14) Unscrew the bolts of the timing 
sprocket wheel cover.  
(15) Unfix the timing sprocket wheel 
cover (Figure 13).

2. Fixing 
(1) Clean all sealing surfaces. 
(2) Replace the gasket of the timing 
chain cover (Figure 14).

2-Engine oil pump 
3-Pressure safety valve 
 
 
 
(3) Apply the cylinder body with engine 
sealing material (Figure 15). 
 
 
1-Chain cover sealing material 
2-Direct line on the cylidner body 
 
 
 
 
 
(4) Add 4-liter engine oil before fixing

(5) Fix all engine oil pump attachments 
onto the crank shaft. When fixing the 
timing chain cover, manual screw tight 
all fittings with a torque of 12N.m 
(Figure 16).  
(6) Fix the power steering pump/water 
pump with a torque of 28N.m.  
(7) Fix the compressor and screw tight 
with a torque of 28N.m. 
(8) Fix the driving belt attachment 
middle wheel.  
(9) Fix the driving belt tensioner.  
(10) Fix the crank shaft belt wheel.  
(11) Fix the driving belt attachements.  
(12) Fix the driving belt guard board.  
(13) Fix the front right wheel. 
(14) Lower the car.  
(15) Fix the water tank fan.  
(16) Connect the upper water tank hose.  
(17) Screw on the bolts of power 
steering oil tank.  
(18) Connect the storage battery cathode.  
(19) Add cooling water.  
 
 
 
Four. Timing chain/guide 
board/sprocket  wheel 
1. Unfixing 
(1) Detach the storage battery cathode 
fittings.  
(2) Unfix te cylinder cover.  
(3) Unfix the camshaft position sensor.  
(4) Unfix the timing chain cover.  
(5) Turn the crank shaft until the first 
cylinder reaches the compression stroke 
upper limit.  
(6) Fix the camshaft sprocket wheel with 
a special tool and uncrew the bolts of the 
sprocket wheel (Figure 17).

(7) Unfix the timing chain tensioner off 
the cylinder body and take out the 
engine oil chamber (Figure 18).

(8) Unfix the right engine bracket (see 
Engine/Engine Seat/Engine Bracket – 
Unfixing). 
(9) Unfix the camshaft sprocket wheel. It 
is allowed to partially take out the chain.  
(10) Unfix the cylinder cover plug, take 
out the fittings and unfix the guide board 
(Figure 19).  
(11) Unfix the timing chain 
1-Left timing chain guide board (moving) 
2-Right timing chain guide board (fixing) 
3-Fitting
