(4). Replacing HCU 

. Press down the locking pin on connection side to take   

off pump moter wire harness; 

. Remove the four bolts shown in the figure, and do not   

reuse them; 

. Separate HCU from ECU; 

. Fit a new HCU onto ECU; 

. Fix ECU on HCU with new bolts, tightening torque: 3+1Nm; 

. Properly connect motor wire harness with locking pin at position. 

(5). Replacing ECU 

. Press down the locking pin on connection side to take   

off wire harness; 

. Remove the four bolts shown in the figure and   

discard them; 

. Separate HCU from ECU; 

. Fit a new ECU onto HCU; 

. Fix ECU on HCU with new bolts, tightening torque:   

3+1Nm; 

. Properly connect motor wire harness with locking pin at position. 

(6). Reassemble ABS Assembly 

Note: Remove the upper hydraulic outlet plug of ABS

assembly only when brake rigid tubes are to be   

assembled to prevent foreign matters from entering 

brake system. 

. Fix ABS assembly on bracket, tightening torque: 

 20+4Nm; 

. Remove hydraulic outlet plug and properly assemble

brake rigid tubes; 

. Mount brake rigid tubes of master valve; 

. Tightening torque of brake rigid tubes: 12+4Nm, M10×1 and 15+3Nm M12×1;

. Add new brake fluid into fluid tank until MAX level is reached, and then exhaust air 

as required; 

. Turn ignition switch to ON, ABS warning light will be turned on for 1.7 seconds and 

then goes out; 

. Clear fault code memory and read again to see if any fault code is displayed; 

. Finally confirm ABS performance in road test, a rebound shall be felt at brake pedal.

XIII. ECU Coding 

When replacing HECU or ECU, the new ECU shall be coded, otherwise ABS 

warning light will flash and the system will not be able to work normally. 

Follow the steps to code the new ECU with original diagnoser: 

 

Select “Universal OBD-16 Diagnose Adapter”

Select “CU coding” in function options

“Enter a new code_ _ _ _ _” 

(Code for this vehicle is 01901) 

Press “OK”, the screen will display:

001 

 

coding:  01901 

WSC:  000001 

Coding finished, exit

Connect diagnoser to diagnose socket

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

XIV. Adding Brake Fluid and Exhausting Air 

(1). Wet HCU 

For wet spare HCU, add brake fluid and exhaust air as per conventional brake system 

after replacement.   

(2). Dry HECU 

For dry spare HECU, add brake fluid and exhaust air as per conventional brake 

system and then exhaust the air in the second HECU circuit after replacement.
