DRIVING WITH A PASSENGER 1. Do not carry a passenger until you have at least two hours of driving experience with this vehicle. 2. Allow a passenger to ride only on models equipped with a passenger seat. 3. Perform the suspension adjustments required due to extra rider weight. 4. Make sure any passenger is tall enough to comfortably and safely reach the grab handles and running boards/footrests. 5. Make sure both driver and passenger are wearing appropriate riding gear, in- cluding an approved helmet. 6. Perform the recommended pre-ride inspections. See page 43. 7. Lock the parking brake when loading a passenger. Always make sure the brake is engaged to ensure the vehicle remains motionless whenever a pas- 8. Allow a passenger to ride only in the approved passenger seat. 9. Never carry more than one passenger. 10. Slow down!Control may be more difficult with a passenger on board. Allow more time and distance for braking. Reduce speed when turning. 11. Ride to the ability of your passenger, instead of to your own ability.
