DESCRIPTION 

When the theft deterrent system is in the disarmed state, the security indicator will flash continuously if the 
immobilizer system is set, or not illuminate if the immobilizer system is not set. 

When the theft deterrent system is in the armed state, the immobilizer system is automatically set and the 
security indicator will flash continuously. 

When the theft deterrent system is in the arming preparation state and alarm sounding state, the main body ECU 
causes the security indicator to be illuminated.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE 

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY TECHSTREAM (SECURITY INDICATOR) 

a. Operate Techstream according to the steps on the display and select "Active Test".

NG: Go to step 2

a. Disconnect the J1 main body ECU connector.  

b. Disconnect the K20 accessory meter connector.  

c. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK: REPLACE ACCESSORY METER (See REMOVAL )

INSPECTION PROCEDURE 

1. INSPECT FUSE (DR/LCK, ECU-B1) 

a. Remove the DR/LCK fuse from the main body ECU.  

b. Remove the ECU-B1 fuse from the engine room junction block.  

c. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. 

Standard resistance  

FUSE (DR/LCK, ECU-B1) 

NG: REPLACE FUSE  

OK: Go to Next Step

a. Disconnect the DA, DB and DD main body ECU connectors.  

b. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below. 

Standard voltage  

MAIN BODY ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND VOLTAGE 

c. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. 

Standard resistance
