c. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. 

Standard resistance  

FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH LH MAIN BODY ECU 

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR  

OK: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU  

4. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH RH 

a. Remove the front door courtesy light switch RH (see REMOVAL ). 

Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition

P5-1 - J4-24 (DCTY) Always

Below 1 ohms

P5-1 - Body ground

Always

10 kohms or higher

b. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH RH 

NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH RH (See INSPECTION 
PROCEDURE) 

OK: Go to next step  

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH RH 

MAIN BODY ECU) 

a. Disconnect the Q5 switch connector.  

b. Disconnect the J3 ECU connector. 

Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition

1. Body ground

Not pushed

Below 1 ohms

Pushed

10 kohms or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR  

OK: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU  

6. INSPECT REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH LH 

a. Remove the rear door courtesy light switch LH (see REMOVAL ). 

Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition

Q5-1 - J3-21 (PCTY) Always

Below 1 ohms

Q5-1 - Body ground

Always

10 kohms or higher

NG: REPLACE REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH LH (see REMOVAL ) 

OK: Go to next step  

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH LH 

MAIN BODY ECU) 

a. Disconnect the P6 switch connector.
