4. CONNECT FUEL RETURN TUBE 

a. Connect the fuel return tube (see PRECAUTION ).

5. CONNECT FUEL MAIN TUBE 

a. Connect the fuel main tube (see PRECAUTION ).  

b. Install the fuel pipe clamp.

6. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY COVER BRACKET

a. Install the 2 throttle body cover brackets with the 2 bolts. 

Torque: 7.5 N*m (76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf)  

7. CONNECT PURGE VSV 

a. Install the purge VSV to the intake manifold with the bolt. 

Torque: 18 N*m (184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf)  

b. Connect the purge line hose.  

c. Connect the purge VSV connector.

8. CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE 

a. Connect the No. 2 ventilation hose to the ventilation valve.  

9. INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )  

10. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )  

11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

12. CHECK FOR FUEL LEAK 

a. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.  

b. Turn the ignition switch ON and Techstream main switch ON. 

c. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Control the Fuel Pump / 

Speed.  

d. Check that there are no fuel leaks after doing maintenance anywhere on the fuel system.  

NOTE:

Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see 
INITIALIZATION ).

NOTE:

Do not start the engine.

REMOVAL 

1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE (see REMOVAL )  

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

3. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR 

a. Disconnect the vacuum sensing hose from the pressure regulator.

b. Disconnect the fuel return hose from the pressure regulator.

c. Remove the 2 bolts, and pull out the pressure regulator.  

d. Remove the O-ring from the pressure regulator.  

NOTE:



Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected 
(see INITIALIZATION ).  



After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system 
requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of 
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch 
OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from 
the negative (-) battery terminal.  

CAUTION: Put a cloth or equivalent under the pressure regulator.
