REMOVAL

DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE (see REMOVAL )

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

NOTE:



Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected 
(see INITIALIZATION ).  



After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system 
requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of 
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch 
OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from

REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (See REMOVAL )

DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See REPLACEMENT )

REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

Remove the front wiper motor and link (see REMOVAL )

REMOVE FRONT COWL TOP OUTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )  

7

REMOVE V-BANK COVER (See INSTALLATION )  

8

REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE (See REMOVAL )  

9

REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH ELEMENT (See REMOVAL )  

10

REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK (See REMOVAL )  

11

REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY

Remove the clip

Pull the fuel pressure pulsation damper out of the fuel delivery pipe   

c

Remove the O-ring from the fuel pressure pulsation damper   

INSTALLATION

INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY 

a

Apply a light coat of spindle oil or gasoline to a new O-ring and install it onto the fuel pressure 
pulsation damper   

b

Install the fuel pressure pulsation damper onto the fuel delivery pipe   

c

Install the clip  

the negative (-) battery terminal.

INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK (See INSTALLATION )

CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

ADD ENGINE COOLANT (See REPLACEMENT )

CHECK FOR FUEL LEAK (see INSTALLATION )

INSTALL V-BANK COVER (See INSTALLATION )

INSTALL FRONT COWL TOP OUTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )

INSTALL FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

Install the front wiper motor and link assembly (see INSTALLATION )
