BODY SIDE TRIM

• When removing, always use a suitable tool that is made of plastic to prevent damage to the parts.

• Never damage the body.

REMOVAL

1. Apply protective tape (A) on the parts to protect it from damage.

2. Disengage instrument side panel fixing pawls with a suitable tool

(A) according to the numerical order 1 

→ 2 as shown in the fig-

ure, and then remove instrument side panel.

INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

• When removing, always use a suitable tool that is made of plastic to prevent damage to the parts.

• Never damage the body.

REMOVAL

1. Remove instrument side panel. Refer to 

INT-25, "INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL : Removal and Installa-

tion"

.

2. Remove front body side welt. Refer to 

INT-29, "BODY SIDE WELT : Removal and Installation"

.

3. Remove front pillar garnish.
a. Disengage front pillar garnish fixing metal clip and clip with a

suitable tool (A) according to the numerical order 1 

→ 2 as

shown in the figure.

b. Cut clip anchor portion.

c. Pull front pillar garnish forward the direction of the arrow, discon-

nect tweeter harness connector and then remove front pillar gar-

nish.

NOTE:

Remove tweeter (if equipped) from front pillar garnish. Refer to

AV-321, "Removal and Installation"

.

INSTALLATION

Note the following items, and install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

• Replace clip anchor with a new part after removal. Never reuse clip anchor.

• When installing, check in advance that clip and metal clip are accurately aligned with the holes on

body side, and then install by pressing in.

2. Disengage front kicking plate outer fixing pawls with a suitable

tool (A), and then remove front kicking plate outer.

INSATALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.

REMOVAL

FRONT KICKING PLATE INNER

1. Apply protective tape (A) on the parts to protect it from damage.

2. Disengage front kicking plate inner fixing pawls with a suitable

tool (A) according to the numerical order 1 

→ 5 as shown in the

figure, and then remove front kicking plate inner.

CAUTION:

Pawls may be damaged. Always remove from vehicle front.

REAR KICKING PLATE INNER

1. Apply protective tape (A) on the parts to protect it from damage.
