COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the pulse 2 signal from the power window motor 
(front: LH) cannot be received, the power window 
main switch sets the diagnosis trouble code No. 
1002.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the front power window motor (LH)

• Malfunction of the power window main switch

• Damaged harness wires and connectors

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Connector check: E-03 power window 
main switch connector and E-18 front power 
window motor (LH) connector

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 2.

NO : 

Repair the connector.

STEP 2. Check the wiring harness between E-03 
power window main switch connector terminal 
Nos.8, 9, 12 and E-18 front power window motor 
(LH) connector terminal Nos.6, 2, 5.

• Check the input and output lines for open or short 

circuit.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 3.

NO : 

Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is 
reset.
(1) Replace the front power window motor (LH).
(2) Check that diagnosis code is not reset.

Q: Is diagnosis code set?

YES : 

Replace the power window main switch.

NO : 

The procedure is complete.

Code No.1002: P/W (DR) SW pulse2 disconnection <RH drive vehicles>

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the 
input and output signal circuits are normal.

Code No.1003: P/W (DR) Above window position

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the 
input and output signal circuits are normal.
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the driver's door window glass exceeds the fully 
closed position, power window main switch sets the 
diagnosis code No. 1003. And, if the driver’s door 
window glass is removed or installed with the power 
is supplied to the power window main switch sets this 
diagnosis code.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the front power window motor 

<driver’s side>

• Malfunction of the power window main switch

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Confirm the front power window 
<driver’s side> learning function.
(1) Check that the power window main switch has 

learned the fully closed position of the window 
(Refer to 

P.42-172

).

(2) On completion, check that diagnosis code 

No.1003 is not reset.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

The procedure is complete.

NO : 

Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is 
reset.
(1) Replace the front power window motor <driver’s 

side>.

(2) Check that diagnosis code is not reset.

Q: Is diagnosis code set?

YES : 

Replace the power window main switch.

NO : 

The procedure is complete.

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the

1004.
