POSSIBLE CAUSES EXHAUST LEAK O2 SIGNAL CIRCUIT O2 RETURN CIRCUIT O2 SENSOR TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY 1 NOTE: Check for contaminants that may have damaged the O2 Sensor: t, read DTCs and record the related Freeze Frame data. Is the Good Trip Counter displayed and equal to zero? All Yes → Go To 2 No → Refer to the INTERMITTENT CONDITION Symptom (Diagnos- tic Procedure). 2 Start the engine. All Yes → Repair or replace the leaking exhaust parts as necessary. Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5. No → Go To 3 3 Turn the ignition off All Yes → Go To 4 No → Check the O2 Signal circuit for damage, short to ground, open, or short to voltage. If OK, replace and program the Powertrain 4 Measure the voltage on the O2 Return circuit in the O2 Sensor harness connector. All Yes → Check the O2 Return circuit for damage, short to ground, open, or short to voltage. If OK, replace and program the Powertrain No → Go To 5 5 If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
