4. Diagnostic 

Steps: 

1 

Inspect APP sensor harness connector IP51 terminal No.2 voltage.

 

 

A.  Turn the ignition switch to the 

OFF position. 

B.  Disconnect APP sensor harness 

connector IP51. 

C.  Turn the ignition switch to the 

ON position. 

D.  Measure voltage between IP51 

terminal No.2 and a reliable 
ground. 

Standard Voltage: 4.8-5.2V 

Does it conform to the standard value?

Inspect resistance between APP sensor harness connector IP51 terminal 
No.3 and ground.

 

A.  Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. 

No 

If the voltage is higher than the Standard Value, the 
circuit is short to power supply; if the voltage is 
lower than the standard value, go to step 5.

terminal No.4 and a reliable 
ground. 

E.  Measure voltage between IP51 

terminal No.4 and a reliable
