→ Recheck the climate control system performance. Refer to Service

Information for additional information.

BCM - ACCESSORY RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN

When Monitored and Set Condition:

BCM - ACCESSORY RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN

When Monitored:

When the ignition is in the Accessory or Run position.

Set Condition:

The Body Control Module supplies the ignition output to the accessory

relay. If the accessory relay current draw is less than 0.1 amp when the ignition switch is
in the accessory or run position within 125 ms, this code will set.

With the DRBIII

t, erase DTCs.

Cycle the ignition switch from OFF to ON.
Turn the radio on.
With the DRBIII

t, read DTCs.

Does the DRBIII

t display ACCESSORY RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN?

All

Yes

→ Go To 2

No

→ The condition that caused this code to set is not present at this

time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the
wiring and connectors.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.

Remove the accessory relay from the PDC.
Install a substitute relay in place of the Accessory Relay.
With the DRBIII

t, erase DTCs.

Cycle the ignition switch from OFF to ON.
With the DRBIII

t, read DTCs.

Does the DRBIII

t display ACCESSORY RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN?

All

Yes

→ Go To 3

No

→ Replace the accessory relay.

Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.

Turn the Ignition off.
Remove the Accessory Relay from the PDC.
Disconnect the Body Control Module C4 connector.
Measure the resistance of the Accessory Relay Control circuit between the BCM C4
connector and the Relay connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

All

Yes

→ Go To 4

No

→ Repair the Accessory Relay Control circuit for an open.

Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.

If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.

All

Repair

Replace the Body Control Module.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.

When the ignition is in the Accessory or Run position.

Set Condition:

The Body Control Module supplies the ignition output to the radio and the

accessory relay. If the radio or accessory relay current draw is beyond the prescribed
current limit for over 125 ms, this code will set.

No
