3.2 OPERATION OF GATE SELECTION AND GEAR ENGAGING CYLINDERS
The movement of the gear lever causes fluid to
flow through the pipes.
This activates the piston of the gate selection
cylinder (2) or gear engaging cylinder (1).
The surface difference, with respect to the
piston shaft, of the left-hand and right-hand
sides of the piston for the gate selection and
gear engaging cylinders is compensated for by
the different diameters of the plungers in the
gear lever unit.
