CAUTION: When reassembling use a new roll pin. NOTE: To remove inner and outer adjuster races, CLEANING AND INSPECTION TRANSFER CHAINS LENGTH MEASUREMENT The need to replace the transfer chains because of excessive wear is unlikely. If chain length is sus- (1) Insert a screwdriver into the 18 mm hole with the screwdriver ABOVE the chains (Fig. 350). (2) Pry the chains down at the center of the chains. (3) Butt a scale against the snubber and mark the scale at the bottom of the chains (Fig. 351). (4) Insert a screwdriver into the 18 mm hole with the screwdriver BELOW the chains (Fig. 352).
