ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR The engine coolant temperature sensor is located next to the thermostat housing (Fig. 63) or (Fig. 64). REMOVAL (1) With the engine cold, disconnect coolant sensor electrical connector. (2) Remove sensor. INSTALLATION (1) Install engine coolant temperature sensor. Tighten sensor to 28 N·m (20 ft. lbs.) torque. (2) Attach electrical connector to sensor. VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR For Removal/Installation of speed senors refer to Group 21, Transaxle. KNOCK SENSOR—3.2/3.5L The engine uses one knock sensor. The sensor bolts into the cylinder block, directly below the intake REMOVAL (1) Remove intake manifold plenum refer to Group 11, Exhaust System and Intake Manifold. (2) Disconnect electrical connector from knock sen- sor (Fig. 65). (3) Use a crows foot socket to remove the knock sensors. INSTALLATION (1) Install knock sensor. Tighten knock sensor bolt to 10 N·m (7 ft. lbs) torque. Over or under tight- (2) Attach electrical connector to knock sensor. 11, Exhaust System and Intake Manifold.
