Chapter VIII Air Conditioner System 

I. System combination 

Air adjustment & distribution system: HVAC air mix & dispatcher parts, interior & exterior 

cycling air inlet & outlet, air cleaner. 

Control system: Control panel assembly, wire-drawing, micro-motor, blower, speed controlled 

module, high pressure & low pressure switch, each temperature sensor of the air conditioner 

Heating system: Heater, hot water piper, and engine cooling water system 

Refrigeration system: Compressor, condenser, dry liquid storage tank, expansion valve, 

evaporator and pipelines 

 

II. Disassembly & assembly of the evaporator assembly 

1. Preparation 

Tools:  Slotted  &  Phillips  screwdriver,  slip  joint  pliers,  socket  wrench  10#  &  12#,  ratchet 

wrench, ring wrench 10#, inner hexagon spanner 5# 

2. Disassembly steps 

2.1. Recover the refrigerant with the refrigerant recoverer 

Attention: 

（1）  Do not deal with the refrigerant at the close place 

or near the open fire. 

（2）  Do not make the refrigerant splash on the eye and 

skin. 

2.2. Disassemble the instrument panel assemble, cross bar and   

upper & down parts bolts & bolt covers of the evaporator. Then   

take out plug-in units of related electrical apparatus and plug-in   

units 

 

 

 

 

2.3.  Unscrew  fixing  bolts  of  the  high  pressure  &  low  pressure 

pipes with the inner   

hexagonal spanner 

Shown as the figure: 

Moment：8±1 Nm

 

 

 

 

2.4.  Unscrew  2  fixing  bolts  from  the  high  pressure  &  low 

pressure pipes to the expansion valve, pull out the high pressure 

&  low  pressure  pipes  and  then  take  out  the  on  the  expansion 

valve. 

Attention:  Wrap  the  pipe  mouth  of  the  disassembled  high 

pressure  &  low  pressure  pipes  and  interface  of  the  expansion 

valve with the clean plastic bag in order to avoid entering of the 

foreign objects. 

2.5. Loosen 3 fixing bolts of the evaporating tank & front wall 

Moment：10±1 Nm 

 

 

 

 

2.6. Disassemble the water pipe clasps of the evaporating water   

tank with pinchers and take out the water pipe and vacuum pipe   

above it. Shown as the figure 

Attention:  Coolant  may  flow  out  of  the  water  pipe  and  pay 

attention to the recovery of the coolant 

Moment：11±1 Nm 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2.7. Take out the wiring harness assembly of the evaporating   

tank and air conditioner from the cab 

 

 

 

3. Assembly of the evaporator assembly 

Assemble according to the inverted sequence of the disassembly 

4. Disassembly & assembly of the interior evaporating tank   

Preparation tools: Slotted & Phillips screwdriver, socket wrench 8#, ratchet wrench 

4.1.

 Disassembly steps

 

4.1.1.  Take  out  the  evaporating  tank  assembly  according  to 

the disassembly of the evaporating tank assembly   

 

 

 

 

 

 

4.1.2. Take  out  the  wiring  harness  &  plug  of  the  evaporating 

tank 

 

 

 

4.1.3.  Unscrew  2  bolts  on  the  dispatcher  with  the  Phillips 

screwdriver and take out the heater core (Shown as the figure) 

Moment：1.5±0.5 Nm 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4.1.4. Prize up all the buckles of the central evaporating  tank 

with  the  slotted  screwdriver,  and  then  take  out  all  bolts  with 

the  Phillips  screwdriver  to  separate  the  evaporating  tank  into 

2 parts 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4.1.5. Take out the evaporator, and then  unscrew bolts  of the 

sensor  with  the  Phillips  screwdriver  and  the  sensor  can  be 

taken out
