INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT:
When using the hand–held tester, start the inspection from step 1 and when not using the hand–held tester,
start from step 2.

Check key unlock warning buckle switch using hand–held tester.

PREPARATION:
Connect the hand–held tester to the DLC 3.
CHECK:
Check the key unlock warning switch using the DATA LIST.

OK

Go to step 4.

The transponder key ECU outputs DTC 12 when the front driver’s door is open.
HINT:
DTC 12 is a normal code.

CHECK:
Check that the door courtesy light comes on when the driver’s door is opened, and goes off when it is closed.
OK:

The door courtesy light operates normally.

OK
