B: GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH 
TROUBLESHOOTING ) 

A: Go To Next Step  

2. INSPECT CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION 

a. Check the skid control ECU connector connection condition. 

OK: The connector is securely connected.  

NG: CONNECT CONNECTOR CORRECTLY  

OK: Go To Next Step  

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - BATTERY AND BODY 

GROUND) 

a. Disconnect the A17 ECU connector.  

b. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR  

OK: Go To Next Step  

4. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (AUTO LSD INDICATOR LIGHT) 

a. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.  

b. Turn the ignition switch to ON.  

c. Turn the Techstream on.  

d. Select the Active Test mode and operate the AUTO LSD indicator light using the Techstream. 

ABS/VSC/TRAC  

DIAGNOSTIC NOTE TABLE 

e. Check that the AUTO LSD indicator light turns on and off in the combination meter when using 

the Techstream. 

OK: The AUTO LSD indicator light turns on and off in accordance with the Techstream 
operation.  

NG: GO TO METER/GAUGE SYSTEM (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH 
TROUBLESHOOTING ) 

OK: Go To Next Step

5. INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH 

a. Remove the VSC OFF switch (See REMOVAL ).  

b. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

NG: REPLACE VSC OFF SWITCH  

OK: Go To Next Step  

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - VSC OFF SWITCH AND 

BODY GROUND) 

a. Disconnect the A17 ECU connector.  

b. Disconnect the J22 switch connector.  

c. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

OK: REPLACE VSC ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL ) 

SKID CONTROL BUZZER CIRCUIT 

DESCRIPTION 

During VSC operation, the skid control buzzer sounds. 

When performing a sensor check in test mode, the buzzer sounds when some of the sensor checks are 
completed. When a brake pad is overheated, the buzzer sounds as a warning.
