OPERATION OF SEAT FRAME (LIFTER MOTOR) 

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat frame with adjuster assembly.

d. Check operation of the seat frame (reclining motor). 

1. Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the reclining motor 

connector terminals. 

OK

If the result is not as specified, replace the seat frame with adjuster assembly.

Battery positive (+) --> 2 
Battery negative (-) --> 1

Up

e. Check operation of the seat frame (leg support adjustment motor). 

1. Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the leg support 

adjustment motor connector terminals.

2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT FRAME WITH ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH 

a. Check operation of the seat frame (slide motor). 

1. Check if the seat frame moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor 

connector terminals. 

Measurement Condition Operational Direction

Battery positive (+) --> 1 
Battery negative (-) --> 2

Open

Battery positive (+) --> 2 
Battery negative (-) --> 1

Close

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.  



The procedures listed below are for the LH side.  

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE LH  

2. INSTALL SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (See INSTALLATION )  

3. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) (see 

REASSEMBLY )  

4. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System) (see 

REASSEMBLY )  

5. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Lumbar Support Adjuster) (see 

REASSEMBLY )  

6. INSTALL LOWER FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH (see REASSEMBLY )  

7. INSTALL LOWER FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (see REASSEMBLY )  

8. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD RH (see REASSEMBLY )  

9. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD LH (see REASSEMBLY )  

10. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH (see REASSEMBLY )  

11. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH (see REASSEMBLY )  

12. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD LH (see REASSEMBLY )  

13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD LH (see REASSEMBLY )  

14. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH (see REASSEMBLY )  

15. INSTALL INNER FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH (see REASSEMBLY )  

16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (See INSTALLATION )  

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may 

injure your hands.
