REMOVAL 

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

NOTE:



Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected 
(see INITIALIZATION ).

2. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH (See REMOVAL )  

3. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH (See REMOVAL )  

4. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 clips and claw. 

HINT: 

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the speaker panel.  

5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 clips and claw. 

HINT: 

Tape the screwdriver tip before use. 



After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system 
requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of 
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch 
OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from 
the negative (-) battery terminal.

b. Remove the speaker panel.  

6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY LH

a. Remove the 2 bolts.  

b. Remove the speaker and disconnect the connector. 

7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY RH 

NOTE:

Do not touch the cone part of the speaker.
