7. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

a. Disconnect the fuel tube from the fuel delivery pipe LH (See PRECAUTION ).

8. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

a. Disconnect the ventilation hose and No. 6 wire harness connector.

b. Remove the No. 3 engine cover.  

c. Remove the 2 bolts and fuel delivery pipe RH.

d. Remove the 2 delivery pipe spacers and 4 insulators from the cylinder head RH.  

9. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

a. Disconnect the No. 7 wire harness connector.  

b. Remove the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly.  

c. Remove the 2 bolts and fuel delivery pipe LH.

d. Remove the 2 delivery pipe spacers and 4 insulators from the cylinder head LH.  

NOTE:

When removing the delivery pipe, hold the pipe by both ends and pull 
it straight upward.

10. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY 

a. Remove the fuel injector from the fuel delivery pipe, and then disconnect the injector connector.

b. Remove the O-ring from the fuel injector.

c. Detach the 3 clamps and then remove the No. 6 wire harness from the delivery pipe RH. 

NOTE:

For reinstallation, attach a tag or label to the injector shaft.

d. Detach the 3 clamps and then remove the No. 7 wire harness from the delivery pipe LH.

INSPECTION 

1. INSPECT FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY 

a. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. 

Standard Resistance  

RESISTANCE REFERENCE 

Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition

20°C (68°F) 11.6 to 12.4 ohms
