c. Turn the Techstream on. d. Enter the following menus: Powertrain/Engine and ECT/Data List/All Data/MAF and Coolant Temp. e. Allow the engine to idle until the Coolant Temp reaches 75°C (167°F) or more. f. Read the MAF with the engine in an idling condition and no load. Standard: MAF while engine idling: Between 4 g/sec. and 8g/sec. (shift lever: N; A/C: OFF; NG: REPLACE MASS AIR FLOW METER (See REMOVAL ) OK: Go to Next Step 4. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (COOLANT TEMP) a. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. b. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream ON. c. Enter the following menus: Powertrain/Engine and ECT/Data List/All Data/Coolant Temp. d. Read the Coolant Temp twice, when the engine is both cold and warmed up. Standard: With cold engine: Same as ambient air temperature. With warm engine: Between 75°C and 100°C (167°F and 212°F). NG: REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR (See REMOVAL ) OK: Go to Next Step 5. CHECK PCV HOSE CONNECTIONS a. Check the PCV hose connections (see ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION ). OK: PCV hose is connected correctly and is not damaged. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE PCV HOSE (See PCV VALVE ) OK: Go to Next Step 6. CHECK AIR INDUCTION SYSTEM a. Check the air induction system for vacuum leakage (see ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION ). OK: No leakage from air induction system. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE AIR INDUCTION SYSTEM OK: Go to Next Step
