DTC CHECK/CLEAR HINT: DTCs which are stored in the ECM can be displayed on the Techstream. The Techstream can display the Same DTCs are not set if the ECM does not detect the same malfunction again during a second 1. CHECK DTC a. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. b. Turn the ignition switch to ON. c. Turn the Techstream ON. d. Enter the following menus: Powertrain/Engine and ECT/Trouble Codes. e. Check the DTC (s) and freeze frame data, and then write them down. f. Check the details of the DTC (s). (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART ). 2. CLEAR DTC a. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3. b. Turn the ignition switch to ON. c. Turn the Techstream ON. d. Enter the following menus: Powertrain/Engine and ECT/DTC/Trouble Codes. e. Erase the DTCs. 3. CLEAR DTC (Without using the Techstream) a. Perform either of the following operations: 1. Disconnect the negative battery cable for more than 1 minute. ABNORMAL DTC judgment completed System abnormal INCOMPLETE DTC judgment not completed You should perform driving pattern after confirming DTC enabling UNKNOWN Unable to perform DTC judgment Number of DTCs which do not fulfill DTC preconditions has reached NOTE: When the diagnosis system is changed from the normal mode to check mode or
