Removal and Installation (Battery Bracket)

REMOVAL

1. Remove air cleaner and air duct. Refer to 

EM-25, "Removal and Installation"

.

2. Remove battery. Refer to 

PG-50, "Removal and Installation (Battery)"

.

3. Remove CVT breather hose bracket bolt (A) and CVT breather

hose bracket (1) (if equipped).

4. Remove battery bracket bolts and battery bracket.
5. Remove harness clip from battery bracket.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

1. Loosen the battery terminal nuts and disconnect both battery negative and positive terminals. Refer to

PG-50, "Exploded View"

.

CAUTION:

To prevent damage to the parts, disconnect the battery negative terminal first.

2. Remove harness nut and battery terminal with fusible link nut.
3. Disconnect harness connectors and remove battery terminal with fusible link.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

To prevent damage to the parts, connect the battery positive terminal first.

Reset electronic systems as necessary. Refer to 

PG-7, "ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REMOVING BAT-

TERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL : Special Repair Requirement"

1. Loosen the battery terminal nut and disconnect battery negative terminal. Refer to 

PG-50, "Exploded

View"

.

2. Disconnect the harness connector from current sensor.
3. Remove the battery current sensor from the negative terminal.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Reset electronic systems as necessary. Refer to 

PG-7, "ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REMOVING BAT-

TERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL : Special Repair Requirement"
