YES

>> Replace BCM. Refer to BCM REPLACEMENT.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness or passenger select unlock relay.

BACK DOOR

BACK DOOR : Description

Locks/unlocks the door with the signal from BCM.

CHECK FUNCTION

1.

Use CONSULT-III to perform Active Test DOOR LOCK.

2.

Touch “ALL LOCK” or “ALL UNLOCK” to check that it works normally.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Door lock actuator is OK.

NO

>> Refer to 

DLK-69, "BACK DOOR : Diagnosis Procedure"

CHECK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR SIGNAL

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Check voltage between BCM connector M20 terminals 65, 66
and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 2.

NO

>> GO TO 3.

CHECK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR HARNESS

1.

Disconnect BCM and back door lock actuator.

66 and back door lock actuator connector (B) D508 terminals 2,

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace door lock actuator.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

3.

CHECK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR HARNESS

1.

Disconnect BCM and back door lock actuator.

2.

Check continuity between BCM connector M20 terminals 65, 66
and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace BCM. Refer to 

BCS-54, "Removal and Installation"

.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

PASSENGER SELECT UNLOCK RELAY

Description

Controls the operation of both rear door lock actuators and the back door lock actuator.

Component Function Check

1.

CHECK FUNCTION

1.

Ensure "SELECTIVE UNLOCK FUNCTION" in WORK SUPPORT is enabled.

2.

Use CONSULT-III to perform Active Test "DOOR LOCK".

3.

Touch “ALL LOCK” or “ALL UNLOCK” to check that both rear doors and back door work normally.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Passenger select unlock relay is OK.

NO

>> Refer to 

DLK-71, "Component Function Check"

.

Diagnosis Procedure

1.

CHECK PASSENGER SELECT UNLOCK RELAY CIRCUIT

NOTE:
The passenger select unlock relay must remain connected during this step.
1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect BCM and inoperative back or rear door lock actuator.

3.

Check continuity between BCM connector (A) M20 terminal 65
and rear door lock actuator LH connector (B) D205 terminal 2 or
rear door lock actuator RH connector (B) D305 Terminal 2 or
back door lock actuator (C) D508 terminal 4. 

4.

Check continuity between BCM connector M20 terminals 66 and
body ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 4.

NO

>> GO TO 2.

2.

CHECK PASSENGER SELECT UNLOCK RELAY INPUT

1.

Disconnect passenger select unlock relay.

2.

Check continuity between BCM connector (A) M20 terminal 65
and passenger select unlock relay connector (B) M11 terminal 3.

3.

Check continuity between BCM connector (A) M20 terminal 65
and body ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 3.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness between BCM and relay.

3.

CHECK PASSENGER SELECT UNLOCK RELAY OUTPUT

1.

Disconnect inoperative rear or back door lock actuator.

65 - 2

: Continuity should exist.

65 - 4

: Continuity should exist.

65 - Ground

: Continuity should not exist.

PASSENGER SELECT UNLOCK RELAY

2.

Check continuity between passenger select unlock relay con-
nector (A) M11 terminal 4 and rear door lock actuator LH con-
nector (B) D205 terminal 2 or rear door lock actuator RH
connector (B) D305 terminal 2 or back door lock actuator con-
nector (C) D508 terminal 4.

3.

Check continuity between passenger select unlock relay con-
nector (A) M11 terminal 4 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace passenger select unlock relay.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness between relay and actuator.

4.

CHECK REAR DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

1.

Reconnect BCM.

2.

Check voltage between rear door lock actuator connector LH (A)
D205 terminals 1 and 2 or rear door lock actuator connector RH
(A) D305 terminals 1 and 2 or back door lock actuator (B) D508
terminals 2 and 4.

3.

Check voltage between rear door lock actuator connector LH (A)
D205 terminals 1 and 2 or rear door lock actuator connector RH
(A) D305 terminals 1 and 2 or back door lock actuator (B) D508
terminals 2 and 4.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace rear or back door lock actuator.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness between actuator and splice.

CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY WARNING BUZZER (ENGINE ROOM) POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect Intelligent Key warning buzzer (engine room) connector.

3.

Check voltage between Intelligent Key warning buzzer (engine room) harness connector E60 terminal 1
and ground.

Is the inspection normal?

YES

>> GO TO 2.

NO

>> Repair or replace Intelligent Key warning buzzer (engine

room) power supply circuit.

2.

CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY WARNING BUZZER (ENGINE ROOM) CIRCUIT

1.

Disconnect Intelligent Key unit connector.

2.

Check continuity between Intelligent Key unit harness connector
(A) M164 terminal 4 and Intelligent Key warning buzzer (engine
room) harness connector E60 terminal 3.

3.

Check continuity between Intelligent Key warning buzzer
(engine room) harness connector E60 terminal 3 and ground.

Is the inspection normal?

YES

>> GO TO 3.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness between Intelligent Key warning buzzer (engine room) and Intelligent

Key unit.

3.

tion.

CHECK WARNING LAMP OPERATION

 With CONSULT-II

• Check “INDICATOR” in “ACTIVE TEST” mode with CONSULT-III.
• Select “BLUE ON”.
“KEY” warning lamp (green) should illuminate.

 Without CONSULT-II

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Ensure Intelligent Key is in your possession inside the vehicle.

3.

While monitoring the combination meter warning lamps, push the ignition knob switch.

4.

The "KEY" warning lamp (green) should illuminate indicating that the Intelligent Key is nearby.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Ensure Intelligent Key is outside and away from the vehicle.

3.

While monitoring the combination meter warning lamps, push the ignition knob switch.

4.

The "KEY" warning lamp (red) should illuminate indicating that the Intelligent Key is not nearby.
