The sonar control unit controls as follows if it detects a malfunction in the sonar sensor:
• Obstacle detection function is stopped.
• Alarm display is displayed on the information display of combination meter.
• Parking Assist in parallel mode is stopped.

SIGNAL PATH

• Sonar control unit transmits parking sensor error signal to the ON/OFF state of the combination meter via

CAN communication when detecting DTC.

• Combination meter turns ON parking sensor error when receiving parking sensor error signal.

WARNING OPERATING CONDITION

When all of the following conditions are satisfied:
• Ignition switch ON
• DTC is detected.

WARNING CANCEL CONDITION

When any of the following conditions is satisfied:
• The ignition switch is in a position other than ON.
• DTC is deleted.

APPLICATION ITEMS

CONSULT can display each diagnostic item using the diagnostic test modes shown as follows:

ECU IDENTIFICATION

Displays the part number of the sonar control unit.

SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS

Freeze Frame Data (FFD)

The following vehicle status is recorded when DTC is detected and is displayed on CONSULT.
