DRIVING STABILITY

Driving stability and quietness have been improved 
by increasing the rigidity of suspension assembly 
area.

1. The front upper frame and the front pillar are 

combined by the front pillar to upper frame brace, 
to improve body torsional rigidity and rigidity of 
the front suspension mounting point.

2. The rear deck crossmember features a closed 

section structure, which is extended to the rear 
floor. The seatback plate enhances vehicle body 
torsional rigidity and reinforced the rear suspen-
sion mountings. 

3. The spring house bracket is beside the rear floor 

sidemember, to improve the rigidity of the rear 
suspension mounting point.

STEEL PLATE WITH UNEVEN THICKNESS

The following part is made of an uneven-thickness 
steel sheet*. Safety upon impact and lightness are 
improved by the integrated varying thickness struc-
ture.

The thickness of the side sill outer reinforcement 
inner applied at the front is increased.

NOTE: *: Steel plates with different thickness welded 
together to make one steel plate.

QUIETNESS

M2420004000159

Quietness has been improved with foam acoustic 
material and urethane foam.
1. Foam acoustic materials have been filled into the 

front pillar, the roof rail, the roof side rail, the 
center pillar, the dash panel, the rear pillar and 
inside the wheel house arch, to prevent noise 
inside the vehicle.

2. Urethane foam has been inserted into the front 

pillar and the rear seatback brace to prevent noise 
inside the vehicle.
