Two basic DOHC engines are available.

420A Engine

On non-turbocharged models, the  Chrysler-
manufactured 2.0 lit. DOHC 16-valve engine in-
creases domestic parts content. The engine and

transaxle unit, unlike the conventional MMC engine,

is arranged with the engine on the passenger side

and the transaxle on the driver’s side.

4G63 Engine

On turbocharged models, new techniques and im-
provements have been embodied in the 4G63 en-

gine to provide better performance and lower fuel
consumption.
