INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP BODY O-RING

(a)

Coat the new O-ring with ATF, install it to the oil pump
body.

13.

INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVEN GEAR

(a)

Coat the front oil pump driven gear with ATF, install it to
the oil pump body with the marked side up.

14.

INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR

(a)

Coat the front oil pump drive gear with ATF, install it to the
oil pump body with the marked side up.

15.

INSTALL STATOR SHAFT ASSY

(a)

Set the stator shaft aligned with each bolt hole.

(b)

Using a torx socket (T30), install the 11 bolts.
Torque: 9.8 N

16.

INSTALL CLUTCH DRUM OIL SEAL RING

(a)

Install the 2 clutch drum oil seal rings.

NOTICE:
Do not expand the ring ends excessively.

INSPECT OIL PUMP ASSY

(a)

Turn the drive gear with 2 screwdrivers and make sure it
rotates smoothly.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the oil seal lip.

OVERHAUL

1.

REMOVE SPEEDOMETER DRIVEN HOLE (ATM)  COVER  SUB-ASSY

(a)

Remove the bolt and speedometer driven hole cover sub-assy from the transaxle assy.

(b)

Remove the O-ring from the speedometer driven hole cover.

2.

REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSY

(a)

Remove the nut, washer and control shaft lever.

(b)

Using a screwdriver, unstake the nut stopper, and  re-
move the lock nut and stopper.

(c)

Remove the 2 bolts and pull out the park/neutral position
switch.

REMOVE OIL COOLER TUBE UNION(INLET OIL
COOLER UNION)

(a)

Remove the union.

(b)

Remove the O-ring from the union.

5.

REMOVE OIL COOLER TUBE UNION(OUTLET OIL
COOLER UNION)

(a)

Remove the elbow.

(b)

Remove the O-ring from the elbow.

6.

REMOVE SPEED SENSOR(TMC -MADE)

(a)

Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 speed sensors from the
transaxle assy.

(b)

Remove the 2 O-rings from the 2 sensors.

7.

REMOVE SPEED SENSOR(AISIN -MADE)

(a)

Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 speed sensors from the
transaxle assy.

(b)

Remove the 2 O-rings from the 2 sensors.

8.

REMOVE PLUG, W/HEAD STRAIGHT SCREW

(a)

Remove the 4 transaxle case No. 1 plugs from the trans-
axle case.

(b)

Remove the 4 O-rings from the 4 transaxle case No. 1
plugs.
