G239843t98 : CHECK THE IGNITION SUPPLY (1) TO THE IC 1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. 2. Measure the voltage between IP05, pin 03, (GR) and GROUND. •
Is the voltage less than 10 volts? -> Yes REPAIR the circuit between the IC and battery. This circuit includes the primary junction box (fuse 06) and the ignition switch. For additional information, refer to the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No GO to Pinpoint Test G239843t99.
G239843t99 : CHECK THE IGNITION SUPPLY (2) TO THE IC 1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. 2. Reconnect the IC electrical connector, IP05. 3. Disconnect the IC electrical connector, IP06. 4. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. 5. Measure the voltage between IP06, pin 17, (WB) and GROUND. •
Is the voltage less than 10 volts? -> Yes REPAIR the circuit between the IC and battery. This circuit includes the primary junction box (fuse 06) and the ignition switch. For additional information, refer to the wiring diagrams. TEST the system for normal operation.
-> No GO to Pinpoint Test G239843t100.
G239843t100 : CHECK THE GROUND TO THE IC 1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. 2. Reconnect the IC electrical connector, IP06. 3. Disconnect the IC electrical connector, IP05. 4. Measure the resistance between IP05, pin 14 (B) and GROUND. •
