accessed through the right-hand fender splash shield and the radiator splash shield.
The fuel fired booster heater operates at two levels. The system will only ever operate if the
engine is running. When the ambient temperature is below 8° C (46° F) and the coolant
temperature is lower than 76° C (169° F) the fuel fired booster heater operates at full power.
This stage will operate until the coolant temperature reaches 87° C (189° F), and it will then
switch to the second level and run at half power until the coolant temperature reaches 90° C
(194° F). At this point the system will switch off. It will switch on again at half power if the
coolant temperature drops below 79° C (174° F). If the coolant temperature drops to below
76° C (169° F), the system will operate at full power.
The fuel fired booster heater will not operate if:

the supply voltage is below 10.25V
•
it is in 'fault lockout'
